Download Weiss Modern Gothic Fonts Family From Jvne77 Studio

Weiss Modern Gothic is the first digital re-creation with a lot of improvements of a late seventies well-known edited typeface by Bauer. At the time known as Weiss Initials Extra Bold or Weiß Modern Gothik, the design was inspired by the famous Weiß Initialen N°2 drawn by Emil Rudolf Weiß (1875-1942); also father of the non-less famous "Neuland" typeface. Strangely, this beauty seemed abandoned while sister-flared faces like Friz Quadrata, Flange, Serif Gothic or Romic are in a new wave of revival. Hoping this one will not again disappear... Happy new life.

Pamplemousse is most decidedly a fellow who enjoys lazy Sunday mornings spent sipping mimosas or bloody marys over a plate of eggs benedict and the New York Times crossword puzzle. Pamplemousse started out as a typeface based on the lettering of Gustav Klimt in his poster for the first exhibition of the Vienna Secession movement (Art Nouveau). This drifted into an homage to Rea Irvin's iconic masthead typeface for the New Yo...

Even if they were in the way of the reading process, I still think they form splendid letters. For me, when I hear for example "Sans Serif", then immediately Helvetica comes to my mind, even though I don't think that it is the best Sans Serif out there. Of course it is a great typeface, but I believe that one should not be fixated on the association of Sans Serif = Helvetica. It is just that Sans Serif goes hand in hand with Helvetica after all, and I don't think it is exaggerated to say that everyone throughout the world would agree. In my head there is no conflict about this either, and I readily agree with this thinking. However, just because of tha...
